I couldn’t tell you the last time I worked out, but I could tell you the last time I got a fit off just to walk around the neighborhood.

What We’re Wearing
To Get Active
Working out comes with many complexities—not feeling confident at the gym or having the desire to go for a run, but least of which is your body may not respond well the next morning. I'm guilty of both since I have a toddler now. Truth be told, it's insanely hard to carve time out for some much-needed exercise.
Being a former athlete, I used to having the mindset that I needed to reach a goal at the gym, like benching a certain amount of weight or hitting a personal best mile marker. I transitioned to circuit training to alleviate the competitive part of exercising. I would set a timer for 45 minutes and jump rope for 15-20 minutes then do 200 sit-ups and push-ups (5 sets of 40 each).
With all that said, working out now looks a bit different for me. It's not about getting physically ripped (which isn't bad), but more about mental health. Getting some movement in releases those endorphins, helps sharpen my mind and just makes me feel good overall. Workout gear, for me nowadays, should double for errand runs and daily life occurrences.
In my kit, Asics sneakers are great for indoor and outdoor performance—the technology and materials behind the shoe make them great for taking on trail runs or doing deadlifts. They also look great with nice cargo pants or tech shorts. The ripstop tote is a must-have for all your EDC and is perfect to pack your gym items like a soft terry cloth towel for your cooldown or a huge Nalgene bottle to help keep you hydrated. Working out looks different for everybody. But when you look good, you're a whole lot more motivated. And remember that getting exercise for your mental wellbeing is just as important for your physical stamina.

Making the Case for ...
A Vitamin-Infused Shaving Cream
No one likes waking up early, splashing some water on your face, and quickly shaving, only to have razor burn and a few nicks on your face before you’ve even had coffee. I’m sure I’m not the only one, but I’ve used a ton of razors and shaving creams trying to find one that works for me. After shaving one day, I woke up to find my neck red and itchy with irritation. It definitely wasn’t the razor cartridge because I’m diligent about changing those out, so my next guess was the shaving cream (that shall go unnamed). My first mistake was buying a shaving foam. Although it had aloe as a key ingredient, it was scented, which is a no-no for my skin. After a few days, I tried to remedy it by moisturizing my face with some healing products, but it was still red. I sent my wife a few options of new shaving creams that I was eyeing, and she suggested I go with the vitamin E shaving cream from trusty skincare brand MALIN+GOETZ.
The namesake ingredient definitely appealed to me. Vitamin E is known for its moisturizing and antioxidant properties, and this formula combines it with shea butter and chamomile to hydrate and soothe skin while calming any irritation. The actual cream is super lightweight, so you’ll need a few pumps to get good coverage. The non-foaming formula helps protect your skin from any dragging or nicks while rinsing clean without completely drying out your skin. Great for all skin types, it has a cooling effect that makes your face feel extremely clean and awaken afterward.
I get that $34 can be steep for shaving cream, but having a stress-free shave and clear skin is priceless, right? I thought it’d be best to invest in a quality product so I could be proactive and not reactive when it came to my irritated skin. Besides, since I really only shave once a month to give my skin a break, I get a bit more bang for my buck—opposed to if I were to use it two or three times a week. But still, if you’re like me and need a gentle shaving cream for your skin that prevents razor burn, I don’t think you can find a better one for a better price.
