Standing tall at around 16 inches high, this rounded lamp gives off a warm glow, but its contribution to a room is not to merely illuminate. West Elm’s Juno lamp is one part sculpture and one part lamp. It can sit on the floor or stand on a desk or side table or nightstand. It can be tucked into a bookcase and even find a place on a kitchen counter. It doesn’t exactly look like a lamp, and that’s a good thing. It almost reads like a vase, but then it lights up, like a modern version of a Japanese paper lantern. The carved wooden base gives it another layer of intrigue and warmth.

This is the kind of lamp you put in places where you wouldn’t normally find a lamp. And that’s what makes it so impactful. But it also does a great job of brightening up spots, which is why it’s so useful. If your place could use an extra pocket of light (and most could), consider grabbing one or two of these, especially now that they’re sale.
