A Truly Foolproof Beard Trimmer
Can one trimmer really take care of all your hair, head to toe? Well, let’s find out. Firstly, I’m not one to try and preserve my patchy beard; my process is to let it grow for two or three weeks, then shave it all off and repeat. The facial hair I do have isn’t worth keeping, nor the additional focus it takes to line it up. But I figured I’d give it a try with this new precision trimmer from Beard Club, a brand focused on streamlining the shaving process.Your face may be the money maker, but you’ve got to take care of all the nooks and crannies underneath, right? The PT45 trimmer has 45 unique length settings, which means it can adapt to damn near any body hair situation. The blades are titanium coated, there’s a 7,000 RPM motor that snips hair quickly and efficiently and there’s a three-hour battery life (along with a digital read-out to let you know how much power you have left). You can't really ask for much more than that. Is 45 too many settings? Perhaps. But if that means you can truly customize your cut, who am I to argue? The 45 length options are made possible thanks to eight physical guards and five different clipper settings (all you do is twist to adjust from 0.8 to 2.0 mm). Which means, it’s not difficult to dial in to the setting that works best for your beard, chest and wherever else may need a trim. I usually select the 0.8mm setting for my face since I use this to trim before I take my good ole’ fashion razor to finish the job.The elegant design is slimmer than your usual grooming clippers, making it easier to cut in more challenging areas and it’s quieter too. You don’t get those loud noises and heavy vibrations from the cutters like you do whenever your barber is fading close to your ear. There’s an even, moderate cutting speed on the trimmer, which allows you to cut at a smooth pace ensuring you don’t pull any hairs. When you move onto your body hair, clip on a guard for extra protection. They’ll comb through hair as it cuts and besides, you’ll want something between the blades and your skin. The real MVP of the set is the small, but sturdy cleaning brush that does an excellent job going between the blades to remove all the tiny hairs. Well, that and the handsome low-profile charger that looks sharp in any bathroom. So far, I’m impressed. This has outperformed trimmers that cost three times as much and didn’t look this good while doing it.
