The Row’s SS23 Collection
If I had an endless amount of funds, one of the brands I would frequent would be The Row. It’s understated and unassuming, yet they use some of the world’s best fabrics, and their fit always seems luxuriously relaxed but never too baggy. Like most people without a trust fund, I can’t justify spending almost $3,000 for a cashmere sweater, but a high-end brand like this enables us all to aspire and pull inspiration from—especially their latest men’s SS23 collection. The look book is full of muted beige and black undertones—minimalist luxury at its best. This was my favorite look from the collection because the colors work so well together—the sweater is a bit slouchy, which elongates the long rise of the pants, and the bottom hem of the pants are well-tailored with just a hint of a break. If you wanted to buy this entire fit from the brand, it’d be around $5,500—which makes my stomach hurt just thinking about it—so that’s why I’ve pulled some affordable options to mimic the styling.A cashmere cable-knit sweater looks luxe in navy or cream—the traditional colors, but a dark brown looks more elevated, especially when paired with brown mélange trousers. It’s a subtle monochromatic look broken up by olive socks and cream-colored suede loafers. This is a fit you can wear year-round and will also have you looking like the most intriguing person in the room.

One thing that I suggest strongly to anybody, especially younger people, is a blue blazer, double-breasted, navy, dark, well done.”

The couple’s overall vision for the property’s interior design was wabi-sabi minimalism with a twist, because while that aesthetic does complement the finish of the house, they wanted to build in other ‘cool, eclectic elements’, too.”

"I could go buy a massive wide leg pair of chinos with a really amazing, exaggerated silhouette. That's very of the moment, but I'm going to be much better off buying a pair of RRL chinos with a flattering straight leg that will be relevant and nice looking in 20 years—and would've been nice looking 20 years ago."Charleston restauranteur and menswear enthusiast @brooksreitz fills us in on his approach to food, style, and more in our latest #FiveFitsWith.
