Making the Case for ...
A Washable Silk PJ Set
We all sleep, but do we all sleep stylishly? I first came across Lunya a few years ago and have known them as a sleek women’s loungewear brand until recently—they now offer a menswear collection, Lahgo. Most men, including myself, go to bed in cheap pajama bottoms with our favorite sports team T-shirt, and that’s cozy enough. But what if we got dressed up to go to bed?I’m a routine and regimented fellow and enjoy keeping things simple—a pajama set is something I’d be into, especially during wintertime, since it will help keep me warm. I’d have to crunch some numbers, but you probably sleep better when you dress better. If that’s the case, then this washable silk PJ set from the label should have you entering REM sleep every evening. It’s the brand’s most popular washable silk, with a single-point collar, chest pocket and exposed buttons. The pants are relaxed and the waist is elastic, so there’s no need to have a drawstring that just gets longer with each wash. The shirt feels like a perfect-fitting button-down, and the pants hit right at the ankle—like your favorite pair of trousers. Also, one of the most slept-on features (pun intended) of the set is how deep the pockets are—not sure what you’ll be carrying in your pockets while sleeping, but the function is excellent if you want to run around town in them.Silk is extremely luxurious, and each time I think of silk PJs, I feel like you can slide across the bed to your significant other like in the old television shows. Although this pajama set is around $300, it’s the ultimate gift for someone who may have everything or is looking to level up their loungewear look. Silk is precious, but a well-made set like this is built to last. And the fact that this set is machine washable makes the price a bit more palatable—since you can wear it repeatedly, wash and hang it to dry, then repeat.

A life-time wearer of Dr. Martens himself, the roots of both McKoy and Dr. Martens are planted firmly in England, where the brand’s iconic Northamptonshire factory has produced countless pairs of shoes for more than half a century.”

If you were to sum up the Samuel Ross design point of view—what connects a Samuel Ross T-shirt and a Samuel Ross sculpture, for example—you might settle on “Brutalism,” a word that was initially used to describe a specific style of architecture and grew to encompass a whole aesthetic.”

Adventures can be dangerous; that’s what often makes them cool. And if you have no idea what you’re doing, even navigating a new route from your house to the local Target can present certain challenges.”
