↦ Three Ways to Wear: A Bold Cardigan
Wednesday, November 16th Edition
I’m sure everyone reading this has dabbled in the cardigan game, but have you worn one that was hand-crocheted? I didn’t think so, and neither have I. But now we’re ready.

3 Ways to Wear
A Bold Cardigan
Cardigans have always been classic and comfortable, but they've never been cooler—or wilder, for that matter—than they are right now. There are so many iterations of the button-up sweaters from brands big and small. Along with various techniques for creating them—from patchworking and fluffy mohair knits to hand-crocheted. But the best ones all have one thing in common: Bold colors, patterns and prints, giving some new sartorial life to this run-of-the-mill garment.
You've probably witnessed your favorite athlete walking down the team's tunnel or celebrities standing on a street corner in some eye-catching prints. One brand that has been delivering the best hand-crocheted cardigans for the past few seasons is New York-based Corridor. Founded in 2013 by Dan Snyder, the brand makes easy-wearing essentials like cool graphic tees, Italian denim and some of the best knitwear in the game. Everything (including the textiles) are designed in-house with ethically and environmentally sustainable workshops specializing in the finest quality weaving, knitting and sewing. Case in point: their popular hand-crocheted cardigan.
Hand-crocheted from chunky cotton yarn, the open-knit design is made entirely by hand by a Peruvian women's collective. Perhaps that's why it looks like something your great-grandmother made while baking your favorite chocolate chip cookies. And like wrapping yourself up in cozy blanket, the sweater is durable and hardy, yet breathable for easy layering over a T-shirt or wearing underneath a winter coat. But it's not a subtle look. Although the print is reminiscent of a bouquet during the springtime—it doesn't mean you can't sport it while it's cold. We asked designer (and music lover) Snyder what he's pairing with his label's cardigan these days.

Drops to Watch For
JJJJound is releasing its third collaboration with Eddie Bauer. The drop includes an interpretation of a vintage design from the iconic American brand’s archives and was updated for today with the help of their in-house development team. The new Eddie Bauer JJJJound 22 Down Jacket calls to mind the archetypal silhouette of Eddie Bauer’s popular down jacket, but elevates it with a more minimalist design and flight jacket details.
